The Dickens London Walking Tour begins at Charing Cross Station, a central location in the city. From here, you’ll walk in the footsteps of Charles Dickens as you journey through London’s most iconic streets. As you walk through different areas in London, you’ll learn about how these real-life locations influenced Dickens’ stories. From the bustling neighbourhoods that inspired ‘Oliver Twist’ to the streets that appear in ‘A Tale of Two Cities’, you’ll be able to explore the key areas that influenced the famous writer.

As well as seeing iconic areas and landmarks that you’ll remember from his stories, you’ll also learn about Dickens’ personal life and childhood. Learn about the writer’s experiences and relationships, including his relationship with Angela Burdett-Courts and how she influenced Dickens’ social activism and his efforts to improve London’s living conditions.

After exploring areas within Westminster, Chancery Lane, the City of London, and Holborn, you can enjoy a drink at one of Dickens’ favourite London pubs. Reflect on the life Charles Dickens lived and gain insight into his life and influences.
