Blenheim Palace

Visit Blenheim Palace, the ancestral home and birthplace of Winston Churchill. Set in over 2,000 acres of sweeping parkland, much of which was designed by the renowned Capability Brown, this Baroque masterpiece, completed in 1722, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site nestled in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. Explore the opulent State Rooms and their impressive collection of portraits and tapestries, the Long Library, and the Churchill Exhibition.

Churchill War Rooms (Tuesday, Wednesday & Saturday until October 2026)

Visit the original underground bunker that served as Britain’s secret wartime headquarters during the Second World War. Preserved almost exactly as it was left in 1945, you can walk through the narrow corridors and see the Cabinet Room, where Winston Churchill and his ministers met to make crucial decisions. Maps still line the walls of the Map Room, covered with pins and notes tracking troop movements across Europe. There are simple bedrooms used by staff, a tiny kitchen, and even Churchill’s private room, complete with his desk and personal items.

Cotswolds (July to October: Monday, Friday & Sunday. November to March: Wednesday, Friday & Sunday)

Visit two charming Cotswolds villages, Burford and Bourton-on-the-Water. Dubbed the ‘Gateway to the Cotswolds’, Burford is one of the most visited villages in the Cotswolds. Explore the famous High Street and take in views of the River Windrush. With plenty of photo opportunities, there is plenty to see in this picturesque village!

Bourton-on-the-Water, also known as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’, is one of the most romantic areas in the country, offering phenomenal views of the river that runs through the heart of the village.
